Making Your Work Sample Easy to Review

A work sample should make your contribution easy to understand. Begin with a short description of the task and the part you completed yourself.

Choose material you can share

Use a personal project, coursework or a sample created for the application. Remove private information and credentials. If an employer or another person owns the material, confirm that you may share it before adding it to a portfolio.

Give the reviewer a route through it

Name the file or page to start with. Explain what the reviewer should look for and provide any setup instructions. If a feature needs an account or private service, include a synthetic demonstration that can be inspected without that access.

Show one useful revision

Describe feedback you received or a problem you found, then explain the change. Be specific about the evidence behind the result. Do not invent a commercial outcome for a learning project.

Follow the sample requirements in the role description. Sending more material is not automatically more helpful; choose what demonstrates the requested skill.
